I grew up in Milwaukee — specifically in the 53206 ZIP code, one of the hardest hit areas in the city. When I think how I mentor others, I think back to myself as a little girl and what I would have needed.

There are other girls growing up in the heart of Milwaukee who need to see people like me breaking down barriers and opening up doors, so they can see what they may choose to be someday.
